Hey Guys! Today I would like to share with you one of my most memorable experiences. Like many of you, I have travelled to many different places, and I love adventures, theyre always a lot of fun. But this one was one of the scariest and funniest things that happened to me.

Every year I spend winter vacation with my family and a bunch family friends skiing. 5 years ago when we went to France, my dad decided to participate in a skiing and snowboarding competition which is held each year in Courchevel 1850, the village usually stay in. It was The Millionaires Cup, a competition for non-professionals, adults and kids. Everybody signed up to participate, so we thought there would be a bigger possibility to win a prize. But truly saying, I was a terrible skier back then and an even worse snowboarder. I had no chance in winning, moreover it was a red slope, which used to be pretty hard for me, and you had to go through 15 or 20 poles.

But before the actual race I practiced going down the slope 2-3 times, and it turned out to be ok, so I felt pretty confident in my chances, even though some of the kids were older and taller and faster. Anyway, soon the competition started.

I was standing on the top of the hill and waiting for my turn. My mom was standing with me and wishing me luck. I looked down the long slope for a second to see the crowd. Finally the lady in charge called my number. I went to the starting line and prepared. Then I go. Slowly, I pass the first red pole. Gaining speed, I turn around the second pole. It felt kind of like when you watch the Olympics on t.v. Around the third pole it was starting to get icy, but I pass, going faster and faster. And then, Shoot! I slipped, but didnt fall. Instead, what happens now is terrifying, my hands start flapping around, like a baby pigeons wings. And my legs became straight and stiff. I cant control myself any longer. My body spins out of control. I fly just down screaming MOOOOMYYY!!! Really freaking out because I see the finish line getting closer and closer. I realize I have to stop, or else Ill crash into the blow-up wall, behind which everybody is standing. But I cant just pull myself down to a fall. Suddenly, in one moment my skis turn and stop. Right before that wall. I rush to my dad in the crowd and burst into tears. He just looks at me and starts laughing, because the whole time he was watching my fly he thought it was some old crazy women who never held a ski in her hands. I calmed down, but still was upset about the fact that I was disqualified for missing all the poles. In reality, if I did I wouldve gotten 4th place for my speed. Oh well. All the adrenaline was worth it.

As a result of this experiment, my moms friend got a last place for coming in last, my dad had a broken finger and had to go buy a helmet. I am positive, that was enough for me. For now.
