Standfast Abrakasa
Standfast Abrakasa
We are told from old that the story of the journey of the three wise men is a good story, but when studied properly and carefully, it was discovered that the devil intended to use the three wise men to destroy the Messiah!

There are people who are star hunters and destroyers. The devil has a way of destroying stars, especially from birth. There are three things the devil would want to do:

1. Cause the star to fall,
2. Deviate the star from it position, and
3. Blunt the star from shinning.
We are very familiar with the story surrounding the circumstances of the birth of Jesus Christ. To start with, the Bible says He was born in a manger, where animals are kept and fed. Yet still, His birth was made significant by the journey of the three wise men.

Who were these wise men? From the text, it was discovered that the three wise men are probably Arabians or Persians – with no affiliation to Christianity. They were astrologers working for kings. They were not ordinary people – they specialize in the study of stars of men and women and to discern destinies.

What was the intention? They have discerned that a great Star has been born – the Bible says, they have seen His star and have come to worship Him (Matt 2 v 2). Their intention clearly was to worship Christ but the devil being who he is wanted to destroy His star through king Herod. In the days of old, kings were in the habit of finding out about the stars of new born from astrologers to decide on what to do – whether to destroy it or not. So, when king Herod learnt that a great Star is born, he and the people of Jerusalem was troubled – they seek not to worship Christ but to destroy Him (Matt 2 v 3).

Did they succeed? The Bible did not record how long they were tracing the star. So to say, being warned in a dream
