All of the Beatitudes can be applied to everyday life, but the 4 beatitudes I have chosen are:
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
Blessed are the clean in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Many people reach the point in life where they feel hopeless. In moments like these, “miracles” take place. Many find enlightenment when they unleash all their anger that they have been bottling up inside, others discover it to be their turning by deciding to act on certain struggles. I believe that it is at out lowest point when we are most open to love. People find it difficult to show the “poor in spirit” love because they build walls around themselves, but when those walls have been broken down there is tons of room for love to enter. When this love is allowed to enter, is acknowledged and accepted then reunion with God occurs.

Blessed are those who mourn: for they will be comforted.
I believe that this beatitude is a revelation of Gods loving nature. When we are grieving a lot of our so called friends and family members desert us and we are left to cope on our own, but God is always there, always comforting us. He is faithful and loyal to us simply because He loves us.

Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
We all go through a point in life where we seek justice for the offenses done against us. The key is to wait patiently for God to take action. It says in the Bible, “Revenge is Gods not ours!” Yes, we dont always want to wait and we want to take action into our own hands, but that is the wrong attitude to have. God never fails! He always comes through for us in the end.

Blessed are the clean in heart: for they shall see God.
I believe that the “clean in heart doesnt necessarily mean that you are sinless. Every one sins everyday! The key is to ask for forgiveness each you commit a sin. Being “clean in heart” means being sincere. One can truly be sincere if one sees things through the eyes of God for He sees beyond all our faults and imperfections and yet he still adores us. Being sincere leads us to live with a grateful heart.
