I am analyzing my friend Fallon. She fits into the analyzing style. She tends to take a problem-solving approach to situations, and is geared more toward ideas and concepts than toward feelings. She prefers study and analysis and sometimes avoids immediate action, and gives off a hesitant impression. Sometimes people perceive her as being emotionless or non social. She tends to be a steadying influence in a group setting with her quietness and open mind. Deliberate and unaggressive, she usually waits for others to come to her rather than suggesting ideas. She wants to collect a great many facts and opinions before making a decision. The consulting role with other people seems to suit her serious and precise manner. Others can perceive her at times as academic and taking herself very seriously.

In a job setting a person with an analyzing style of behavior takes an orderly, systematic approach. I went to her job and observed her for the day. She has a strict routine that she follows and does not deviate from the norm. As a detailed and thorough person, she usually likes things to be rational and well organized. She is likely to take a minute until the task is clear, then work at it with persistence and precisely. She becomes tense when surrounded by confusion and becomes immobilized. It seems that being “right” is very important to her, therefore asking a question is normal for her. The quality of work being done is very important.

In a relationship setting, she is hesitant and tends not to trust the other person right away. When she first met her partner, it took her two weeks before she agreed to go out on a date. Security seems to be a very important issue with her. She isnt the type to initiate relationships; usually people are attracted to her because she is a good listener, quiet and non-threatening to others. She tends not to take credit for herself, but instead uses her ability as a problem-solver to establish and build relationships.
