IntroductionThis report was prepared at the request of the supervisor. The purpose of this report is to propose the installation of the home automation system (HAS) to attract more residents. This report focuses on the parts of explains the basic functions and benefits of an HAS and evaluate a potential HAS brand of Zamsonic ZSC-6.MethodologyBefore the management meeting, the modern hoteliers’ magazine was extracted to find out the basic functions about HAS. Also, the brand of Zamsonic ZSC-6 was researched from Mr. Pelton Stewart. To conduct my secondary research, two websites about benefits of HAS was collected. FindingAccording to the Magazine of the Modern Hoteliers, three functions using by remote control in HAS which is home electronic devices, door access controller and intrusion detector. The home electronic devices including television, air- condition, the lights and curtain which is automatically turn on and off those devices by wireless remote through the radio wave signals. Also, consisting the door access controller of the image recording system and digital door lock which is using the face or entering the passwords to open the door. In addition, the intrusion detector is alerting to the users and calling the security office if intruders come into the home.According to the website of benefits of HAS, which can increase the security such as automated door locks that it avoid to forgot to lock the doors. Also, it can save energy such as adjustment the temperature automatically. Due to many stress in the life of people, HAS can Increases Peace of Mind of them who could get more relax.With reference to the research on Zamsonic ZSC-6, it is the ones most popularly brand on the market. Although the price is higher than market average which is 6%, the advantages is 8” colour TFT touch screen remote control. Also, the voice control would be supported via Siri when operating with iPhone and iPad interfaces. The room status would be showed on the door such as do not disturb, make my room and laundry services. Moreover, it is not user-friendly from reputation when setting up the system initially, the technical support would be provided which is 24-hour live-chat support within smartphone apps.
