My Argument about Abortion
What is your opinion on abortion? There are two different types of abortion. One type of abortion is called spontaneous abortion. Spontaneous abortion is accidental, due to natural causes, and is commonly known as a miscarriage. Another type of abortion is deliberate abortion. Deliberate abortion is induced and is further subcategorized into therapeutic abortions and elective abortions. (

Pro-choice is when the person believes that no matter what, a woman has the right to choose whether or not she wants to give birth to the child that she as conceived. Most people who are pro-choice believe that the fetus is not a human but a mass of tissue. (

Pro-Life is when a person believes that no matter what abortion is wrong in any aspect. Most religious figures and those who believe strongly in the Bible and Gods teachings will fall under this category. “On a 1990 Barbara Walters TV special, Mel Gibson stated his opposition to abortion. He said, “God is the only one who knows how many children we should have, and we should be ready to accept them. One cant decide for oneself who comes into this world and who doesnt. That decision doesnt belong to us.” (

Although everyones opinions about abortion can be grouped into the two main categories, there are also some people that have exceptions to them. There are people who are Pro-Life, but they believe that you should be able to have an abortion if you were raped or if the child is going to die anyway. They believe that if you are in labor and the doctor tells you that if you have to baby you are going to die but if you dont have the baby, the baby will die. So everyone has their own beliefs and exceptions to these beliefs.

Here are some facts about abortion. In the U.S. alone 4,000 abortions are performed every day, 25,000 every week, 109,000 ever month, and 1.3 million every year. (
