A Pretty Poison-Cosmetic Surgery
Dear Mrs. Kelly, I’m writing this letter for explaining the purpose of my second essay and further information relate to the essay.                                           A Pretty Poison—-Cosmetic Surgery Much more recently, women really care about their physical appearances. Women want to have a beautiful body and get social position in society so that they can show their own personality. My thesis is that cosmetic surgery is a pretty poison. Even though it brings women beauty and enhances women’s social position, it also costs them physical and material pain. On the other hand, cosmetic surgery truly reflects the absence of confidence in human beings and deviated social cognition.I describe that we cannot imagine people would accept the women who did cosmetic surgery before 1970s. Even thought every woman wants to have a beautiful face, no one would like to change her nature physical appearance because tradition will force her to give up. Then I talks about teenagers, who are influenced by media, obsessed with cosmetic surgery that will do anything to look like women on TV. And also middle-aged women might encourage their daughters to accomplish their dreams by cosmetic surgery. The cosmetic surgery among teenagers and middle-aged women implies both of them lack in confidence about their unmodified bodies. However, cosmetic surgery cannot bring women real confidence. Women have to do gain confidence by themselves not just through cosmetic surgery

Even though I want to build a clearly argument with examples, there still have aspects need to be improved. It seems there have not clear combination between two sentences. And also, the words I am using in my essay are not much high level in academic essay. Based on the first essay I write, I learn that I need more transition in this essay. Under a clearly argument, I think I can do better in my final research paper. Regards, Zhen Nie Ever since the 1970s, the popularity of cosmetic surgery has risen as new innovations and advancements to cosmetic surgery arose. Because of the media, many people have become more self conscious about themselves and begin to worry more about their body and go through many difficulties in order to improve their physical appearances. Women, in general, are a majority of those who undergo such operations. Women have begun to be less reluctant to pay any price to undergo plastic surgery. Because they deeply believe that implants make them more beautiful and confident. In Body Branding, Alyssa Quart states that young girls who are obsessed with cosmetic surgery will do anything to look like movie star on TV. In fact, cosmetic surgery is somewhat of a pretty poison. Even though it brings women joy by enhancing their beauty and social position, it also gives them potential health problems and costs them a great deal of money. Cosmetic surgery reflects the absence of confidence in human beings and their desire to fit into society
