An Inconvenient Truth focuses on Al Gore and his travels in support of his efforts to educate the public about the severity of the climate crisis. He describes the consequences he believes global climate change will produce if the amount of human-generated greenhouse gases is not significantly reduced in the very near future. This is so important because not enough college students understand what a big deal it is, and how it will impact our children in the years to come.
For those who say that global warming is unproven or that warming cycles are typical, Al Gore showed the pattern from over 100,000 years ago and proved a point that in the recent years the earth warning is increasing rapidly. Global warming is a result of human activities burning fossil fuels, and emitting excessive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Most of the effects of this global issue have already been detected throughout the world. Something that is already happening is that polar bears are starting to drown because the icebergs are melting, and the polar bears are falling off the icebergs trying to get on them because they’re too small. When the polar bears have to swim to find another iceberg, after they have been swimming for a while, they get tired just like we would. The harm is not only to animals, but it would also extend to thousands of people losing their homes to the rising oceans.
In 2005, the Climate Science News Network’s director, Bruce R. McDaniel, called climate change deniers “not as dangerous as their more extreme ideas.” They should be punished for “removing critical human-induced changes,” he said. So does he? The “new facts don’t look great. In fact, the evidence doesn’t look any better.”
On June 30, McDaniel tweeted a picture of a “new poll done with over 80 people” that showed this picture, showing people “surprised and disappointed.” McDaniel later clarified that he meant a photo: “But don’t be surprised to see it all turned into a news story about the EPA’s climate change decision on Monday the 30th… [Obama] is now saying, ‘I’ve come back to this as a man and an idiot, so what I’m doing is, you know, maybe that’s what science has been telling me, a new poll didn’t show anything.'”
The poll was an early indicator that, if you were doing science-based analyses, you can’t simply turn your back on them and try to find new connections to the facts you’re reading.
McDaniel, who is a conservative and has served as the administration’s director of science advisory committee at the Environmental Protection Agency since 2013, is right about that: his poll has been called “unconvincing in many places” and he went on air to support the National Academy of Sciences’s assertion that the science linking climate change to the human influence on the Earth is incomplete and can no longer be used to prove the “scientific” position that “global warming is a real problem.”
If climate change can only be proved to be a myth, then that can never stand.
Readers will get what R. Michael Mann is saying. This is not the first time Mann has raised doubts about global warming. A 2008 article in the Wall Street Journal that he said he disagreed with was said to have been misinterpreted as stating that he and other climate scientists disagreed with “the long run scientific consensus that human activity causes more greenhouse gases than previously believed,” meaning that scientists disagreed with his claim that “global warming is a real problem.” That article, in fact, was written in 1980 and a decade after his original post “global warming is a myth.”

In his article after the NYTimes op-ed titled “The Big Idea that Humans ‘Cause Global Warming Is a Real Problem” in the Wall Street Journal, Mann said that scientists agree that scientists who disagree with his assertion that global warming is a “real problem” are “not as likely to support his claim as climate scientists who disagree.”
“What he wants is for scientists who agree that the climate problem remains a problem [instead of a scientific-based issue] to say, ‘Why do I don’t think we cause a problem?'” said Mann. “It is not because they don’t agree.”
In a lengthy interview with CWS’s Jonathan Weigel, who had written a piece entitled, “How Climate Change Will Drive Climate Change, He’s Wrong: Scientists That Don’t Think We Are,” Mann said that he did not want to say that scientists who agree with his assertion that humans caused the
