Are eBay and PHP competitors? Why?
In my opinion I dont think eBay and PHP Auctions are competitors.
PHP auction is an online auction site that helps customers to create their own auction website and control their business through it. PHP uses enuuk web based auction software that satisfies online auction demand. It has been considered as a leading auction package for small and medium sized businesses. PHP auction software is easy to use and has lots of flexibility to provide various types of features like standard auctions, trading, reverse auctions and classifieds.
On the other hand eBay is an online service where anyone can buy and sell almost anything without the purchase of any software. It is considered worlds largest online marketplace which connects individual buyers and sellers from different communities. eBay has acquired PayPal as the preferred method for payment.
What strategies are PHP and eBay attempting to employ? Which is likely to work?
PHP auctions strategy is to help customers create their own online business and manage their operations. PHP auction software is mostly used by business.
eBays strategy is to connect buyers and sellers through its auction website and it is used by more general online shoppers.
Both of them are likely to work since they target different customers.
