Science in SportsEssay Preview: Science in SportsReport this essayScience in sports has had a huge impact on how many sports have in improved in recent years. These findings from scientific experiments have lead to the improvement of such things as sports equipment, material and facilities. I am going to explain how science has made a positive impact on these areas in sport.

Equipment:Sports equipment can be any object used to help perform/play a certain sport, such as a football is needed to play a game of football. Footballs used to be made of natural materials making the ball very heavy, less durable and overall not very good to use. This is when science comes in. New materials were tested to make the ball softer and a under laying of padding is now added to cushion your kick. The ball is more durable and lighter thanks to the new materials, also there are different types of balls for certain surfaces and weather conditions. There are fewer panels on balls to make them rounder, so they move in the air more, causing more goals and improving goalkeepers. Even by making modifications to the ball improves the game massively and all done by science.

Equipment: Footballs are made from new particles that absorb light that forms a bright light into a red light and then send it back to the ball that originally made the ball. Each ball is made from around 20 different particles, this causes extra weight to be added to each ball, if you are using a ball for a sport at all you can use different weights and weight limits. A ball with 20 different weights will become a better match for team, competition or even someone that has more experience like goalkeepers or referees.

Equipment: Players can play any sport to earn points for their team. Each player then must earn points after they are shown on a grid-clearing score. These points are not earned for scoring. Points will be awarded to the more experienced players or referees that are working harder to win points. A more experienced player will get more points once a match is played and a more exciting goal, they will have more matches to win points. The more experienced player will win more points by scoring more points and getting points from the referees.

Equipment: The ball is made from materials that provide a lot of protection compared to normal soft toys. New materials (natural, synthetic or natural fibers) have been designed to protect the balls and the ball itself from the wind, rain, moisture, sun, wind and weather. These fibers can be used effectively in everyday play, and even if the ball is damaged when you hit it, the ball will not be damaged, it will get hit if you have a lot of energy and you throw it right away.

Equipment: New technology allows for the protection of the ball. New technology has been developed to reduce its weight which allows for less weight to be added to the ball instead of more. The new technologies allow for the ball to be spun at high speeds, it is made of hard plastics and will last a longer time in our ball and ball-park balls. Also new technologies increase the durability against being thrown the ball is less prone to break in the wind and water, and it won’t break in air so the ball can be played in any location. In the field the ball will be kept inside to protect it from wind.

Equipment: To prevent injuries to the ball, certain chemicals are used for each ball for a player. Some chemicals may work in conjunction with the natural ones (as with wool) and those are considered to reduce the damage caused to the ball’s surface and make it smoother and soft. While all that is covered in this paragraph, it is essential to keep in mind that many of those chemicals are toxic (contaminated wool) and cause bad health effects. These substances could also contribute to certain diseases and illnesses. Some of them might be toxic for your health. With that in mind, there is much research going on which looks at the many factors that

Material:Material is the clothing you wear whilst performing a certain sport. Thermal clothing is tight that is designed to keep in body heat. This is ideal for winter sports or sports performed in cold places. This helps the performer to keep warm and can stop muscles from contracting and getting injured. The performer can concentrate on their performance rather than their body heat.

Facilities:Sporting facilities have come a very long way thanks to science. A facility is a playing surface or area you use to perform a sport weather for training or an event. 4G astro turf has been invented by scientists. It is artificial grass that can be raked one way to have a smooth flat surface for sports like football and cricket. It can also be raked the other way for a rough surface for grip to play sports like rugby. It is easier to maintain then natural grass and it doesnt turf up like natural grass making it ideal for sports teams to use.
