* Introduction: Introduction to the history of dance in East London, Haggins has been employed for over 35 years. He has had an excellent relationship with the dance music industry for over 13 years now. This includes all the major dance festivals of Edgbaston, London and Edinburgh with a diverse dance history dating back to the late 1800s. There has been an emphasis to diversify and adapt dance across a host of European countries and territories through his work with groups of dancers from across the world. His success can be traced back to the time he began the weekly Haggins Dance and Music Group in the late 1990’s. Now Haggins is an all-round talent whose unique ability to integrate his knowledge and personal interest, and his understanding of how dance relates to music, art and the social sciences have not only allowed him to explore the complex dance and music-related topics of interest to him and our culture, but also contributed to the promotion and understanding of the great and varied dance of the world. This was also true back in the day for Haggins before his current employers for an impressive 12 years, including three years working with an international group of dance artists working in a major English language country, and four years working on the first American dance school. Haggins was a student at the University of Sussex and was awarded the 2011 London University College of Music award for his expertise in creating musical instruments and techniques that are accessible to young people from across the world, in a classroom setting. Haggins is widely recognized as being the first, or first in Britain to create an all-round talent who has found himself in many exciting new competitions as well as being internationally hailed for his ability to build upon his past work. Haggins has an extremely strong grasp of many of the cultural, musical, and social issues we face. He is best known for his work with New Order on the South Coast Dance and on some of the best young British choreographers of the day as Haddams Vocal and the New York Dance Competition. Haggins has worked in many of these competitions including the Erotic Folk Festival and the American Dance and Music Festival. With a bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Dance and Music at Uppsala University in Stockholm, Haggins is well respected in the dance dance community and is credited with producing a plethora of original choreographs and music that are now in its sixth year.
