Memory Process
In this paper, I will discuss long, working, short term memory, encoding, and retrieval of the memory process. I will define working and short term memory as well as differentiate between them. The chosen test will be discussed as will the results of the memory test. In addition, this paper will discuss the ability to store data in relation to apprehension, erudition, and reasoning, measurement of the multivariates related to the encoding of data and the simplicity of memory (Terry, 2009).

Capacity to actively store information in the mind is called working memory and required to do arduous task such as apprehension, erudition, and reasoning. Terry (2009) defines working memory as memory that is functional and can be recollected at anytime. Long-term and short-term memory are two well-defined stages of storage. Short-term memory is the ability to recollect data in a abbreviated time period. Before the transferal to long-term memory the data is processed in short-term memory. When the data is not moved quickly enough to long-term memory this could result in forgetting. Dissimilar to short-term memory working memory transfers data within a few seconds. The transferal of information from short to long-term memory occurs mostly on the fundament of recall; repeating of data that has gone into short-term memory. Data in long-term memory stored in on a comparatively lasting basis, although it may be hard to recover (Terry, 2009).

Selected test and your results
The online memory and visual test selected had two parts; optic and verbal memory. The visual memory section of the test was taken; the test was comprised of 12 pictures of children running in a race. Six of the twelve children finished the race and six children dropped out of the race. The childrens faces who finished the race were to be recalled. Sixty was the limited number of attempts allowed. Fourth to fifty was the mean of attempts that most individuals finished within. I obtained 43 on the retention visual test and on my optic memory rating was 36. Getting a high number is not good with the the test rather the lower the better. The directions of the game were moderately perplexing.

The test was about half over before finally understanding the construct of the test. It appeared many children completed the race actually did not complete the race, likewise, and the children thought to have not finish the race actually did. Consequently, it was realized that the said faces were displayed over and over. Additionally, the children were displayed twice back-to-back with antithetic children. Eventually, the childrens faces became familiar, however it took 36 attempts to figure it out.
