Cultural Diversity at Work Place
Diversity is one of the reasons of the worlds success and nonstop development today. Without diversity work industries would be dull and people could not develop them selves the way they can today. Without diversity there would be no different ways of thinking ,and different views. Divers opinions help people to express themselves, prove them and others wrong or write, and be heard by others. There are several major factors that causes diversity in the first place, they are ethnicity, gender, age, and religion. Theses four factors have influence on the decisions what we make, how we treat others, what we think of other people and how we understand them and also makes us think much brother and have bigger or even change our perspective of thinking. As our view of things change our behavior changes and that is one of the signs that we grow as a person and start being more flexible, that can be a good characteristic for work or in any other field.
Why we act the way we act, is a hard question and it could have been influenced in so many ways and in so many situations of our live, like for example the result of our behavior could be created during our childhood, school, teenage years, during high school, sports, or later in life- adult life. All these stages of life are full of events that can change persons character drastically and that reflects later in life when person is out in real world and have to fight for his own survival as well as building his own home and braking away from time when he/she was depending on someone else, like for example parent’s. Although when a person first time meets someone its hard to tell what are the factors that makes our first thought about the other person. The attitude towards someone can be assumed by their age ethnicity, religion.
In early history such thing as ethnicity didn’t meant and dint have a big role in human life but now it is a big part of todays society. In early age the ethnicity, already sets how the it will affect childes development , how he will see the world in young age and what will be his beliefs. And in todays society, people, media, people social life will determine how person will be treated because of him/here ethnicity. The effect to person life can be positive but also negative. Age, gender, religion are also really big factors that will determent individuals attitude, development and view of life.
All of theses factors create who we are and sets us how we will react with other people in different situations, how we will accept other people that are different from us. And that is just a part of a person that develops by time and as we grow older, mature and enter school, workforce we start our second stage. We start to meet different people, not only with different thinking but from different countries with their own customs, mind set and world view.
