Buddhism can be one of the most confusing if you do not know one thing about it before you decided to study it. The study of Buddhism can take a long time to learn everything that you need to know about this religion but that is because it has been around for such a long time that over the years more information has been added to it. It has ties that date back to the B.C and most of the religion still does pratice like it was way back then. Most of the places that practiced this religion still are mostly in Asia and then it started to go around the world as people started to explore the world. This religion is mainly about learning how to balance your life and how to make sure that you are balanced mentally inside and outside of your body. When you are looking up this religion you have to make sure that you know about the founder of it and what he went through to get this religion started.

The person who founded Buddhism name is Buddha Shakyamuni he was a prince in 624 B.C in a placed called Lumbini. Lumbini was in the most northern part of India and

now today it is in Nepal (“About Buddhism”, 2007). During this time period kings and queens ruled with an iron thumb. Like most parents at the time he was given a name that meant something to them he was given the royal family name “Shakya” and the last part of his name “Muni” means “Abel one”. When his parents decided to give him the first name Siddhartha a person who could see into the future made many great and wonderful predictions (“About Buddhism”, 2007). He grew up in a like a palace that was in front of a forest before he was old a enough to choose what he wanted to do with his life he had to act like a prince this all changed when he was 29 years old. This is when he went into the forest where he had a spiritual journey of meditation after 6 years he was able to attain enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in the town called Bodhi Gaya, India (“About Buddhism”, 2007). Ever since the day that it was started it was spreading around the world it did so well in Asia.

There are several teaching that are in the Buddhism that need to be talked about, these are the main teachings and they show you how to practice this religion. One of the first teaching that you learn about is called The Four Noble Truths. This teachings has four different noble truths that a person in this religion should live by. The first one is called The Noble Truth of Suffering, then the second one is The Noble Truth the Origin Suffering, the third one is called The Noble Truth of Cessation of Suffering, the fourth and final one is The Noble Truth of the Way leading to the Cessation of Suffering (“The Buddhist Society”,
