Dear: Mandy
I wonder what’s happening back there after I left I REALLY miss you!!! Ever since we moved here it has been such a big fuss, there is so much I want to tell you but I find it so hard to remember it all from day 1. You cannot imagine how different to Australia compared to Japan is! It seems lots of fun at first but when it comes to reality it’s quite a bummer and I find it very hard to follow their way of lifestyle and cultural differences, although mum and dad seems to settle in quite well.

We are currently in search for a permanent home and staying at Kumara Kan Japanese-style inn, which is just 1 hour and thirty minutes from New Tokyo International Airport. Is it a traditional Japanese relaxing accommodation which provides a Shima spa, a Japanese garden that has a large pond and a Tea Lounge. It also has this game room where people play a traditional Japanese game called Mah Jong’ that consists little square tiles engraved with fine calligraphy. How cool yea?

Most of the people who work there don’t understand English! And you have no idea how hard it is just to ask for something!
Oh yea, Mums letting me have aromatherapy and massage treatments! Can’t wait!
The are so many rules and policies we have to go through during the day, like when you enter a room you have to take off your shoes and a pair of slippers is provided. There is also another pair of slippers just to go to the toilet! But when your finish you can’t wear the pair of slippers that you went to the toilet with out around the house. That reminds me, the toilets are not to be sat on! They have their own Japanese styled toilets which you have to stand over the toilet stool facing the side with the hood and then squat over it. It’s really awkward! Trust me!

You’re not going to believe this but others use the same bath water! Sounds gross eh? So when finishing taking baths I always have to remember not to drain
