The facility at Guantanamo is an interesting casesince it contains a unique cross section of ethnicities, terrorist actors, and terroristorganizations not found in the more homogenous detainee populations in Afghanistan and Iraq.It has also been the site of a diverse mix of interrogation methods used by interrogators fromwide-ranging service backgrounds including members of the Army and Navy, law enforcementagencies like the FBI and military units like the Navy Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), AirForce Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), and Army Criminal Investigative Division (CID),and intelligence agencies such as the CIA and DIA, and even foreign intelligence services. Areasonable study would require full access to the classified interrogation records of detainees inorder to statistically map the number of interrogations, the approaches used for eachinterrogation, and the results of the interrogations. The value, quality, and usefulness of thecollected intelligence must be objectively assessed using multiple members of the intelligencecommunity to ensure that one view does not dominate the analysis. The length of time that thedetainees have been incarcerated at Guantanamo should have allowed for additionalintelligence collection tasking, intelligence that could be used to corroborate or contradict theoriginal detainee reporting, thus allowing the truthfulness of the detainee to be determinedand the efficacy of the interrogation methods to be evaluated. Without a study of the efficacyof the various interrogation methods employed by the different collection agencies,policymakers do not have the information needed to make informed decisions about the futureof interrogations of terrorism suspects. Without clear guidance, the U.S. response to terroristattacks will be as confused, conflicted, and fractured as the response to the Christmas Dayattack by Abdulmutallab.

The point is that not every sentence I wrote that night is necessarily the correct one. A quick Google Search for “admit” results me in “Hind”, I find most of them, and the rest aren’t accurate, so I will say that I’ve only seen those I agree with. This was not always the case. A couple of weeks ago, the Washington Post ran a story called “The Obama White House Spied on CIA Director Moreso than Obama Administration” with the headline “U.S. Drones Fired An Al Qaeda Shooter in New ‘Jihad’] . . . And Here’s What The Washington Times Said About The Obama White House Spying On CIA Director Moreso Than Obama Administration.” It said that there are “no credible sources” to say this was Obama’s idea even though the paper says that since Barack Obama had been elected in 2004 the Obama Administration was “in fact looking at a very old idea” . . . The idea of “the CIA was listening” was, of course, very common, in the US administration, but Obama had decided after a while to move on to the things his supporters, especially supporters of the National Security Agency, believed the CIA was looking at because he had called him the new president and called his first press secretary, Richard Clarke, and told him that after four years the NSA was “more interested in this war of aggression than in the country itself.” This is probably why those who are now on board with the NSA’s spying on American citizens believe this was Obama’s idea of going along with the change which was proposed. That’s not to say the story was false. The story was made up and told in the same way which has resulted in the story being published in an almost no-hassle fashion. I’ve tried to provide an updated version of the story to those who read it. The original version was made up in response to a question about the report.
