That was almost 5 years ago to be precise. And during that time, classes were suspended so instead of staying at home where there’s no food, no water, no everything, I decided to join my mom at her work everyday for two weeks. Since I was bored that time, I explored at her office and found some old cd’s. I happened to see one album entitled “A Hard Day’s Night” by The Beatles. I listened to it over and over and over again for almost 2 weeks, and I loved it. That’s when I started to get really interested about the The Beatles, and until now, every single time I would listen to it, it feels so new and so alive to me.
I think everyone in this room is familiar with The Beatles. Or at least have heard some of their famous hits such as (show ppt). It is always interesting for us to know the history of something right? And so today I’d like you guys, to join me, as we take a trip back in time on how The Beatles changed the music industry forever. The Beatles lasting fame, unique music, and continuing influence on today’s culture makes them the most successful rock group of all time. Before anything else, let me introduce you to the band first. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Looking ahead to the start of their musical career, John and Paul pretty much started everything in 1955. They formed a band, together with their colleagues, which was then called the Quarryband. But things didn’t go that well, and so eventually, they disbanded after a year. Good thing after three years, in 1958, they met George Harrison and they decided to let him join the group. After four years, in 1962, Ringo Starr also joined the band. In the same year, the band released their first nationwide single entitled “Love Me Do” which took over the UK Charts in just a few weeks. Within the year of that in 1963, they released their first album “Please Please Me” which also hit the UK charts.
