Abstract
Green Acres, INC. Is a large United States based multinational producer of canned fruits and vegetables. Green Acres was known for traditionally using only organic suppliers for its fruits and vegetables. The company has recently experimented with produce from farmers known to have genetically modified crops, that are often cheaper than the organic which has provided the company a way to cut production costs. We feel it would be ethical for the company to disclose the use of GMO to their customers.

Are corporate social initiatives and business ethics things of the past? Well Green Acres, Inc shows it could be. In this paper will discuss why we the chief of operations feel it would be ethical for the company to disclose information to customers pertaining to the product they are consuming and why maybe in the past, not telling people what they were consuming could have been swept under the rug, but not in todays world where going green and saving the environment is a big deal to people in the target market targeted here. Not to mention the amount of health concise people in the same market.
