“Courage is measured by an individuals willingness to continue fighting even when the likelihood of victory is small.” This quote means that although you may not win, courage is when you try anyway. It means that if you try to succeed knowing that you have am unfavorable chance of victory that it may still be to your benefit, or an others benefit. Courage is a quality that is good to possess, because it means you dont give up on something that is a challenge. By definition courage means a quality of spirit that enables you to face danger or pain without showing fear, or it can also mean the strength to face danger or take on challenges. The first definition given isnt as accurate as the second, because I believe that if you admit your scared and you pursue something anyway, it is still courageous and that everyone has the right to be fearful of not succeeding. The challenges and struggles in life are where the greatest lessons are learned.

I think this would be a good quote to live by. It shows that although there are many struggles in life, you can learn from them if your willing to be courageous and continue pursuing a victory. It also says that although you may not have succeeded in the way you had hoped in the beginning, at the end of it all, you may have succeeded in a different way. Sometimes little things like that mean more then the big victories. You may have made a difference in some ones life, taught a lesson, or even learned a lesson yourself. You learn a great deal in life from your mistakes. It is the strength of mind that makes one able to meet danger and difficulties with firmness. Even if you are scared, or worried, you should still pursue something. After all, if Christopher Columbus listened to everyone else who insisted the world was flat, he would have never made the biggest discovery in history. The discovery of our own country.
