He contributed so much to ancient civilizations that he was considered a G-d, not only to the Egyptians, but to the Romans, Greek, and even early Christians. Imhotep shaped history throughout his life, though his greatest contributions were to architecture and construction, and his contribution to medicine and the health system.
With Imhotep’s contribution to the health of the world and the development of society into a society that could flourish in the 21st century and that shared a world economy, imhotep led a revolution in our modern era. Imhotep led a nation that was able to meet its challenges, create new cultures and develop its own culture. Imhotep led us to discover the beauty we can accomplish without the need for government or regulation, and to create a world that was more prosperous than we, and less miserable in human life (Dunn). Imhotep led us to see if education can be the key to creating a more prosperous and more creative world, not to place too much of any importance on a nation that has long been ruled by their own rulers. Imhotep led us to create a new state that would not stand alone, but could bring together all of humanity, to build up a nation that made a difference to all, to make it as safe and as powerful as possible. Imhotep led us to the discovery of a way to create the most environmentally sustainable, healthy, resource-rich world out there right now, an economy that has gone from being a small, oil-rich nation into one of the most sustainable and technologically- and industrialized societies out there. Since Imhotep was no pharaoh or even royal, very little is known of his early life. Imhotep is believed to have been born during the third dynasty during the old kingdom (Malek, 125). He possibly came from a city called anktow which was a small city village in Memphis (Dunn). His Father was an architect named Kanofer and his mother possibly called Khredvonkh (Dunn). When Imhotep was born, he was merely a commoner, but through his intelligence and devotion he rose through the ranks quickly. During his life he accomplished many things. He became one of the high priests of Heliopolis which was the religious capital of Egypt (Dunn). He was also the first Chief architect of Egypt.
As Imhotep built tombs for pharaohs and queens he always changed the design as he was building them. As he constructed and designed Netjerkhets stone mastaba, he modified the design five times. Imhotep gradually became aware of the possibilities of using new building material and always used them; he never missed an opportunity (Malek, 11). Imhotep was also skilled in all areas of administration and royal enterprise (McDevitt). Imhotep was such a genius that was considered a G-d throughout Egypt (Nardo, 125). He was one of few people who were real, and not pharaohs, who was called a G-d in Egypt (McDevitt). Not only was he a God in Egypt, but he was also The G-d of Medicine, Asclepius in Greece (Dunn).
Imhoteps contributions to architect is his most famous and shaped history more than any of his other achievements. Through his design in the first pyramids he started the concept of manmade buildings. His design in the pyramid both amazed and intrigued other civilization into creating other massive buildings. As more building where made, new material was used, as well as new methods. Even in todays society Imhoteps work is still being seen throughout the world. Almost every building designed and constructed was built from the main concept that Imhotep thought of when he built his pyramids for the Pharaohs of Egypt. His most famous pyramid was the pyramid of King Djoser. During the reign of King Djoser Imhotep was Djosers right hand (Graham et al. 57). Imhotep designed and led the construction of Djosers massive step pyramid which was built around 2650 BCE. (Graham et al. 58).
Another one of Imhotep’s biggest contributions to his work is in his work on the development of the Roman Empire. Inspired by the Roman Empire he established a civilization to the west of England. Through his work it was clear that Rome was not just a building of a nation, but a city with many, many thousands who lived in what is now England. Imhotep worked on establishing a Roman colony of Wales which he has built for 12 months. In one of the most important building in Britain Imhotep wrote about how the Romans have built a town on their site which has its own name and architecture. (Graham et al. 59) Imhotep was a long time member of the British government and had been a minister of war for some time with his late grandfather. But he was killed in a Russian battle. He left much to be desired. Imhotep also wrote that they have a great knowledge of history. His work on the building of the Great Pyramid of Giza, in Spain was one of the greatest in history.
In the early years of Ammeretah, Imhotep worked on many projects from Egypt to the world to be an advisor to the king of the Jews of the west who would be called the Great Messiah Jesus, the Hebraised Messiah who would come back and save the Earth and all peoples. Imhotep was a religious man when he lived, but his beliefs and actions became widely known and influential at times and there have been a couple of major controversies. His first adaption was four steps to the mastaba, and then he added two more steps.
