The current theories focus on drugs crimes; its a serious problem among Colombian countries. Colombia is located in the northern part of South America, Spanish was Colombias primary language considering it was the first language spoke in Columbia. Border by the beautiful Caribbean Sea and next-door neighbors of panama, Venezuela, and north pacific, the population of Colombia is at 45,013,672 with a variety of ethnic groups of Mestizo, white and mulatto. Unfortunately 55% of Colombia is below the poverty line. In the early 1800s cocaine was introduce to Europe, back then Colombia realize they were the largest cocaine export country, they provided 70% of the worlds cocaine, growing on land thats a gigantic amount. The farmers in Colombia relied on cocaine as one of the biggest cash crops. Farmers in Colombia relied on cocaine; it was the only means in Colombia to survive and provide enough money to support their families. Colombia generated millions of dollars in revenue selling cocaine to one of their largest buyers for many years, which was Europe. Most of the money they made form cocaine helped to develop Colombia and other countries in South American. There are three major issues that were a big factor involving cocaine distribution in Colombia. Cocaine and the effect on society, cocaine crime in Colombia, lastly how do we solve the crime in Colombia thats caused from cocaine?

The drug lords in Colombia were known for the cocaine and FRC. With the poverty at its all time high and the social inequality: cocaine was the only product that was bringing in income for the country. The drug lords had to protect the countries income from the government, which involved killing the law enforcement and some government officials. They formed a gang called the “Extraditable” from their death squads to protect the income. In 1984, Rodrigo Lara Bonillo the justice minister was assassinated, in no time later Cartels were murdered, along with the attorney general Carlos Mauro Hoyos Jimenez. According to Amnesty International, “More than thirty multiple killings occurred during 1988, as part of the 2500 deaths between January 1988 and May 1989. Massacres have included not only the bombing of the Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad (DAS) headquarters in Bogota in

the Autumn of 1989”, After the killing violence and deaths, it formed a way of life in Colombia, which caused problems with the rebels. Lately in Colombia, the government has not been able to fight off the sellers and users as much due to the fact that they do not have the equipment or the manpower to over throw the drug trade. The biggest reason the trade between cocaine is still going on is because many people in the government are on the drug payroll as sellers; these people range from laborers, processers, transporters, to producers and so on.
