Question: Do rivers in humid areas reflect concave profiles?
Hypothesis: A graded river or stream is a condition in which the stream of mutual adjustment between the load carried by the stream and the related landscape through which stream flows. This then forms a state that is dynamic and has equal erosion, transported load, deposition, and how much capacity the stream can hold. My prediction of the streams that I have charted is that the humid streams will be more concave than convex and that the arid streams will be more convex. Also all the streams will have different elevations and depths.

Procedure:
Got the needed materials that were required to do the experiment correctly. These include:
Ruler
Pen and pencil
Two pieces of scratch paper
Calculator
After getting the materials I went to the front of the class to grab two humid maps and two arid maps.
Once I had my maps I could began my experiment by starting with any of the maps.
I did the humid maps first by picking a short stream so it could be easier to plot by using the scratch paper to mark each point of elevation. (I did this for the following three maps I had to use as well)

Wrote down each map name I used and what state it was in. Also the contour interval.
After plotting all four maps on my data sheet I than converted the scale of each map by using a calculator so I could find the vertical exaggeration.
After I had all the correct information I than decided between all the four maps which ones were concave or convex.
Following the completion of the experiment I waited for the other groups in class to finish.
At the end of class each group posted their results on the board so you could copy them for data results.
