The dissection of the fetal pig in the laboratory is important because pigs and humans have the same level of metabolism and have similar organs and systems. Also, fetal pigs are relatively inexpensive.

Our pig was 13 inches long and measured from its nose to the itŠ²Šā¢s tail. I broke both of its arms and legs when I put it on itŠ²Šā¢s back to pin it down because that was the only way it would work.
