We believe the most interesting data gathered, is that even in this day in age when pretty much all teenagers have a cell phone and texting, there are still those who prefer to call. A trend we saw was that almost every single person who took our survey uses their phone every single day. It was also interesting that even the people who have to pay for their own phone, use it a lot.

It was also interesting that there was an even split between yes, I own a smart phone, and no, I do not own a smart phone. In our culture today I thought it would be more common for kids to have smart phones than not to own one. It was also common that they did participate in after school activities and were not in a relationship, but still used their phone every single day. Also, more than half of the people who took our survey do not have a home phone any more, and rely solely on their cell phones.

In conclusion, we found that teenagers, both male and female, are more likely to prefer texting than calling, therefore confirming that our hypothesis was more or less correct.
