Batch of Sample 1: CROWDING ON THE COUNCIL The Department of Business, Services & Information Technology (Deutsche Bank) has identified an emerging group (B) that is interested in enhancing women in leadership positions in financial institutions. It has developed the first-ever “The Big Four Project,” a collaboration between banks and BMS/ECONOMIC to explore whether or not it could foster a sustainable leadership process. In this paper, the study authors refer to the “Big Four Project,” an in-depth survey of existing and emerging BMS/ECONOMIC leadership and development institutions conducted from the June 2017, 2015, to August 2015, data from the January 2016, 2016, to July 2015, the January 2016, 2016, and July 2015, respectively. The study was funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. As part of this review, the authors review past BMS/ECONOMIC institutional and financial studies in the three main fields of leadership and develop a roadmap for how BMS/ECONOMIC leadership could be addressed. This approach to evaluating institutions’ leadership is discussed as the purpose of this paper. The “Big Four” survey is based on a set of broad-based indicators that BMS/ECONOMIC is on track for achieving certain goals of inclusion in the 2016 National Women’s Leadership Index (WLM). The survey is administered with regard to three broad segments: (i) the research participation rate (which includes research participants) , (ii) the size of the research participation cohort (which includes research participants who did not participate in surveys), and (iii) the number of respondents who were enrolled and what they did in the last two years. The full WLM for each section has been collected and analyzed. To be considered a “Big Four” institutional, it must be able to participate in at least two separate research campaigns during the 2014, 2015, and 2016 data cycles, at least one at a time. The National Women’s Leadership Index is an ongoing research initiative under the direction of Professor Dharika H. Chatterjee, Director of the Department of Women’s Studies and the Chair in Business, Services & Information Technology in the Department of Business, Services & Information Technology Division of the Department of Business, Services & Information Technology and its Division of Applied Social Policy. The methodology used is the same as that used for developing the WLM in the National Women’s Leadership Index and will be used in future studies. The two primary objectives for the study used are the purpose of the survey methodology, and the objective of analyzing BMS/ECONOMIC leadership and development institutions. The WLM’s main purpose is to assess and quantify the characteristics of companies’ top executives, including how the BMS/ECONOMIC leadership leadership institutions are growing. It can also be used as a way for institutional experts to learn about BMS/ECONOMIC leadership structures. The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of companies’ top executives and their teams on the outcomes of top-performing companies, as well as the impact of having top-performing companies improve or lose to competition in their markets, and the contribution that the impact of higher-ranking executives makes in these outcomes. The results from such surveys are used as a complement to those from the WLM. The study design was based on the study conducted at the 2016 World Conference of Corporate Leaders held in London.
