[pic 1]           The Industrial Revolution took place in the island of the Britain. It was a transformation of human life circumstances due in large measure to advance in the technologies of industry. During the industrial revolution there were factors that laid the groundwork for revolution, there was energy crisis and solutions of the crisis problem. Here I will discuss all the factors, problems, solutions, the development of the transportations and the impact of the industrial revolution. Foundation of Industrial revolution: There were three major factors that laid for the groundwork for the revolution. They are:   Population-  In 1492 Columbus sailed to ocean blues. During that time the staple crop in Europe was wheat. Though wheat was a good crop it had a problem as it sucks nitrogen out of the soil. As wheat had some problem farmer started to search a new food and finally potato was discovered. Potato was an important plant as it gives nitrogen gas to the soil. So, the farmers started growing more potatoes which leads to more food eventually leading to more people. As the population increased the worker in the factory increased and the development activities increased which results in the industrial revolution. Canal Building- Water is the cheapest form of transportation. Britain being an island with large rivers built canals and started waterways transportation in 1716.  They decided to increase their efficiency by artificial waterways for transportation of goods. Waterways increased the ability to trade and played an effective role in the foundation of industrial revolution. Policies of the British Parliament- Most of the members of the parliament were involved in business. They pass policies that were good and beneficial for the growth of their business. Their main goal was ‘all business should get benefit by the law.’ As all the business were developing it started a revolution. Cotton have a great impact in the industrial revolution. Cotton industry was one of the first industries to introduce mechanical/labor saving devices and factories. Cotton has also played a great role to improve the economic condition. In the early period wool was the major source of wealth for Britain. It was produced by the domestic system that is a vast network of local people working in their homes. It was a slow-moving system. In mid-1700 a new material came from India, cotton. As cotton is an agricultural product and can be produced tremendously all year around, the farmers of the southern colony started to have harvest cotton instead of wool. Farmers literally produced tons of cottons but spinning took a long time. So, people started to come up with ideas to increase the efficiency of spinning. Then spinning Jenny was invented by James Richard Arkwright invented a game changing device, Richard Arkwright Water frame. It could produce 100`s of spindle of thread at one time meaning 1000`s of spindles in a day. I had a great efficiency and helped cotton industry grow faster. Cotton became the first industrial business. Regular people were able to buy cotton fabric for the first time. As time passed cotton became plentiful, cheap and affordable. As England had limited supply of wood after some years there were crisis of energy to perform the mechanical works and run the machine. In order to solve the crisis alternative sources of energy were used. Human beings were used to run the machine, water was not a reliable source, so children were attached to the wheels to run the machine. Wind mill were used to have wind energy and coal were also used to run the machine. Another one of the great inventions that came about during the Industrial Revolution was the steam engine. Steam engine were also used but it was not efficient at the beginning. James Watt improved the stem engine and solved the energy crisis. James watt in his steam engine attaches a separate condenser to the original cylinder which made the steam engine efficient, cheap and reliable. Watt stem engines gives more energy with less fuel. Due to the watt stem engine people could establish their factory anywhere. Mass production of goods were now taking place including iron. Steam machines were used in the iron factory.
