EXECUTIVE SUMMARY        We are proposing to start a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise in the country of Jamaica. Dunkin Donuts is an American global doughnut company and coffeehouse chain founded in 1950. It has grown to become one of the largest coffee and donut chains and has over 11,000 restaurants in 36 countries. We plan on making that number 37 by adding Jamaica. We have selected the city of Montego Bay for our business. Montego Bay is one of the top tourism locations in Jamaica and the Caribbean’s as a whole. Its beautiful resorts and beaches bring in hundreds of thousands of people to this city yearly. We plan to have our location close to the airport. This is a great location for our type of business. By being near the airport we can offer coffee to people who are having early flights. Also, with the high tourism rates we can have our products spread to those who are just coming to visit. We believe that this is a smart business opportunity for this part of the world because it is a developing country that has the ability to grow into a very successful economy. It is worth the risk because we have immediate access to resources because of Jamaica being known for its agriculture. With the amount of customers we would be getting constantly our location could also be something that people have to check out when they come to Jamaica. Our target market for our business are tourist. We have chosen this target market because they are more likely to spend their money rather than the locals. This is because tourist go to places to enjoy the experience and make memories and what would be more memorable than having a Jamaican themed donut. We do understand the difficulty and complexity of starting an international business but our detailed plan and projections will reduce the risk and enhance the chances of success. We will do research and do case studies on how other Dunkin Donuts have found success in starting a business in a different country. Also we will study the competition and use some of their tactics in order to get business booming.        As far as advisors to helps us get started we are looking for people with experience with international trade and starting a foreign business in another country. their role will mostly be advising and assisting us in making a successful business. They may also serve as a part owner to give them some sort of power in making business decisions. We have all four main principles of marketing covered in our plan, we have our place/location set as Montego Bay, Jamaica. Our set products are coffee, donuts, and other baked goods. For promotion we plan on starting heavy on it so that we can reach a wide amount of people and get buzz for our business. Finally, our prices for our products will be shown in sections below. Our project should be funded because it has high promise in the growing market of Jamaica.
