Comcast Corporation (now Xfinity) leads the industry in providing entertainment, information, and communications products and services. The company accomplishments include millions of customers in each category of cable subscribers, high-speed Internet subscribers, and Digital Voice subscribers as well as a multitude of content networks such as: E! Entertainment Television, Style Network, Golf Channel, VERSUS, G4, PBS KIDS Sprout, TV One, 10 sports networks, and Internet businesses, including www.comcast.net and www.comcast.com along with several sports teams.

Comcast Corporation, founded by Ralph J. Roberts, Daniel Aaron, and Julian A. Brodsky in 1963 in Tupelo, Mississippi, currently has its headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company name is a combination of the words Communication and Broadcast shortened to form Comcast.

Comcast Technologies
Positive effects that technology has on Comcast Cable are the companys ability to provide varying broadband speeds to its customers, quality cable TV service, thousands of programs in standard definition or high definition on it On Demand service, and reasonable phone service to mention a few things.

Due to recent technology, Comcast has over 12 million customers subscribing to cable TV alone, with that number increasing daily.
Product Line
Comcast has a large product line, the fastest data speeds around, and very viable rates. Comcast offers its customers one of the most up-to-date connectivity products on the market today. Because of technology, Comcast is able to offer quality telephone and IT products at inexpensive connectivity rates.

The Comcast/VoIP combo allows customers to get rid of their local/long distance carriers by providing an ultra high-speed internet connection to which they can connect their phones and computers and still spend a fraction of what they were spending.

End User Perspective
The end-user is able to rely on Comcasts high-quality customer service and high-quality products. They trust that Comcast is committed to being the best in the industry by continuing to provide superior products and services.

Ralph J. Roberts dream for Comcast was to provide many customer choices, a promise kept to this day. When the company was established, the main driving force was excellent picture quality and the ability to choose quality content. Comcast states, “Today, in an age of constantly changing technology, we are still committed to big dreams-and to making those dreams a reality for our customers, our employees, and the communities we serve.” (Comcast.com)
