The key to fulfillment is to recognize and make the most of my “core strengths.” If I figure out what am I best at, and take advantage of these skills, a rewarding life will follow.Everyone has a range of abilities, but the things that we do just because we are good at them, or because other people value them, may not be the things that make us happy. These strengths are simply a means to an end. True fulfillment comes from building our lives on our core strengths, the ones we most enjoy using. As a grade 10 student I already passed many challenges so I acquire new skills and improved my existing skills. I also lessened my weaknesses by improving my self-esteem. As a part of the generation called the screenagers we cannot deny the fact that we can’t end a day without using any gadgets, and because I always use my laptop and smartphone I acquired a skill of being a computer literate. Having a skill like this comes with great responsibility, we must think before we click because we don’t know what will be the aftermath of your action.I also acquired the skill of being thrifty, as a high school student we must know how to spend money on needs and wants because there are many expenses to fill in this stage in life. Socializing with my batchmates helped me to improve my self-confidence, I can use this improved skill in many school activities that can help me in gaining many experiences. In having strengths I also have weaknesses like in managing my time, as a student procrastination is not new to us. We usually attend to the things that we don’t really need to prioritize and let the important ones in queue. The said qualities will make me unique. These will also help me to achieve great success and fulfillment. Successful people exploit their strengths and avoid putting pressure on their weaknesses. As a 15-year old girl my skills will continue to increase and the abilities that I now possess will continue to grow and improve. There’s a price to pay for wasting and ignoring our talents usually is a life of frustration, regret and missed opportunity. Our talents are unique — nothing can take them away. But they will fade with time if they are ignored. The more we choose to honor and develop our special gifts, the more we enhance every aspect of our own life as well as the lives of the people around us.
